I have the cords, and the t connector, and the newest version of the program.

I just don't know what I'm doing, I was able to use the gba flash cart set with ease, but I am having problems.

First make shure you use NTSC SNES. If yes, you don't need the tconnector for somthing else than dsp games.

Connect cables to the pc, be shure the switch on the programmer is in off position, insert SFC, turn switch on, start program, upload ROMs.

I think Ive gotten somewhere. I changed a BIOS setting to eep on my parallel port. It can now detect the roms on my cart, but I still don't know how to change them. Like deleting them and putting new roms on.

At least I know everything works!

Got it working now Razz

After all that hahah

but some games won't load, is it because of the checksum? I actually got this just to play translated roms like Dragon Quest, Star Ocean etc.

Is there a way to change the checksum on some games?

uCon64 is a tool that can do nearly everything on ROMs you can imagine. it can fix checksums. But be aware that ROMs can be protectet by SlowROM code or by PAL/NTSC region protection. Use snestool to fix that.

You need to open it in command. Or you download the GUI for it, don't know what it's called, search for ucon64 frontend. It is not easy to install everything correctly, though. Study the helpfiles before asking.

Yes, it can "fix" check sums, but it's almost an easthetical matter. It has absolutely no influence on how well a game runs on the SNES, as the SNES doesn't use them. SNES ROMs contain a check sum so that the integrity of the data could be checked at the factory. I don't know if that has happened in practice.

:-)
To be clear, uCON64 can do that too.

Yes, that's normal, but it's not the way you would use it. Please start with the frontend (not the Java one, but "uf-FOX"). You can download it from the uCON64 homepage. Read the document that is included with it. I would like to know what exactly is difficult for you. If you tell me that I, maybe I can improve the frontend and/or the documentation so that others are helped too.

I always have problems with the ntuser.dat file. The faq helps out pretty good, but the next problem is the it is hard to find the configuration file and to input it into the field in the options. It only works for me when the marker behind override ucon64 dat file is set and a point ( . ) is written into the path field. Else there is no way to get it to work. I have this running under two winxp systems and i don't know if it's my fault.
All in all a powerful tool, but way to complicated Embarassed for me.
And sorry, i know that it can fix Slowrom and such, but i never used it Confused

And by the way, can you explain me how to patch DKC2? It does not work for me, and this would be a thing that i want to use.
