Greetings all.

Why oh why does the DreamWriter software not like Turrican?
Whenever I try to select turrican (apparently all versions) for flashing to my cart, I get a box pop up saying:

"Access violation at address 004CDF90 in module 'MDMTLK21.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFFF."

I have tried everything I can think of in Ucon64, but to no avail.

Has anyone got the original Turrican (as apposed to Mega Turrican) working on MDPro64?

Does that include actually uploading the game?

No, I haven't.

I have only tried it with the latest version of the DreamWriter software (the same software has not had a problem with any other ROM).

Would that make a difference?
Do you not think that the ROM is suspect, here?

Well, yeah. At least you won't get an access violation :-)

No, I don't. It's a bug in DreamWriter, because that's the running software (the ROM is just data to DreamWriter -- it doesn't do anything).

Ok, mate.

I'll give it a whirl next time I change games.

Thanks for your time. Smile

Is the rom located in your hard disc and is the file not write protected?

Maybe it have something to do with the rom name/rom size...
I remember reading some stuff about a bug in dreamwriter that appear when a rom name contains some silly characters...

If it's that bug, just open the .bin rom with an hex editor and replace both rom names characters by "ABCD..."
