Which is pin 1 (for the CIC-161 chip) on the Super Flash card? Also, if I was to remove a CIC chip from an old NTSC cart, how would I identify pin 1 on the CIC chip? |

I figured it out. I found a pinout for the SNES cartridge, and just followed the traces. On any cartridge (in my case it was NBA Jam) Pin 24 is traced to pin 1 on the CIC (so now you know which is pin 1 on the CIC). On the Super Flash, find pin 24 on the cartridge, and follow where the trace goes, and it's directly to where the CIC's pin 1 is to be soldered. I could've guessed where pin 1 for the CIC on the Super Flash was, since the connection is square, but I just wanted to make sure anyway. |
