Anyone came across that memory board? It's definitely for a Game Doctor as the pins and notch line up. I'm thinking it's a memory extension for the GDSF or GDSF2.

The name GD-2M would suggest it's a 2MB or 16 Mbit RAM board so it would mean each IC is 1MBx2Bit if such DRAM configuration exists.
The ICs are either I92542BH (High?) or I92542BL (Low?).
I93035 is most likely the memory controller.
I couldn't find any datasheet on IODATA but it seems to be a JAPANESE company.

That board is for the SNES Game Doctor SF VI. It is the internal 16M RAM card

It absolutely is. I found this post by googling the board I found when disassembling my Game Doctor SF6

I should correct my post to say it’s the internal 16 meg board. Not 64. But it does go to the SF6

You're obviously new to this and completely missing the point, yet I'll take the time to answer my own question on that thread so we can close it.

I own at least 20 GDSF from the 1st to the 7th, I'm well aware this is a Game Doctor memory board, yet at the time I posted this, I had seen half of dozen variants using 4/8 bit or 512KB/1MB ICs but not this one.

This board is using an undocumented chip manufacturer with a memory controller, this quite differs from the usual GD memory boards.
It's a 16Mb board released for the early Game Doctor up to the GDSF3.

Yes it's compatible with the GDSF6 as well as all the other models but stating "it's a 64M internal RAM for the GDSF6" is a wrong statement. Not only because it's a 16M, but also because the GDSF6 was never sold with less than 32M internal RAM and finally at the time the GDSF6 was released this type of design was not used anymore.

Eventually I might open a thread with all the existing memory board configurations known for the Game Doctor serie.

Thank you for your contribution.

Hmm, well that’s interesting. I didn’t realize I should expect these with so many different memory configurations. I appreciate the insight.

I called it a 64 meg board initially because that’s how the slot is labeled on the pcb that it was connected to. I realized after making my post that it was only a 16 meg board inserted into that slot.

Yeah I don’t have 20 of these but I have reverse engineered the pcb and created my own Ram modules for the GDSF3 and GDSF7 so far. The 6 is next up. Maybe you’ll find something useful:

Oh, you're the one who's done those, thanks heaps! Fantastic work Smile

The reason you can find so many different memory boards is related to a major incident that happened around 1992, a fire broke out in one of Japan's largest ram factories, leading to a steep price increase and lower stock.

Copier manufacturers then basically got their hands on whatever ram packages they could get: ZIP, DIP, SOIC, 4 bit, 8 bit...

The later Pro Fighters might have something like 20+ different ram board designs.

Considering your skills, if you enjoy retracing and preserving some copier material, there's plenty to be done but I guess you should open a new thread for that.

I found these memory modules in my collection.

These were attached to Game Doctor 6.

Thanks Kaz, that's ironic. So this GD6 has a total of 48M right?

Also, off topic but I was wondering if you had the backup or any software for the Super Twin?
