|
|
I got a Rosewill PCI Parallel port card RC-302, installed it. The box says it supports EPP, but I can't figure out how to enable it. Since it's PCI card, it doesn't show up in the bios like motherboard parallel ports.
Any ideas? |

I tried switching it to LPT1, still no luck. Get the error:
1)
TYPE: LOROM
ROM SIZE: 256Mbit
SRAM SIZE: 262144KBit
Really frustrating, can't figure out how to make it see the card in EPP mode. |

You using switch box extension cable + USB type A to B cable ? By default, you need lpt port $0378 and EPP mode. Have you find out how to set it to EPP mode ? |

No, no switchbox, just a PCI parallel port since my motherboard didn't have one. So I have the parallel cord going from the linker to the parallel port, and the USB cable plugged in. I can't figure out how to switch the card to EPP mode. Which port is LPT $0378? LPT1? |

No, I don't mean need switch box. I mean parallel cable type is switch box extension cable or called straight parallel cable. If you use wrong cable, then it won't work. You buy from us ?
Yes, $0378 is default LPT port 1
Please find out how to switch your card to EPP mode first. |

Yeah, I bought the cable from you guys. It's worked before on a different computer, just can't get it to work with the PCI parallel port card. I will wait to see if the manufacturer of the PCI card can tell me how to switch to EPP. |

Usually you switch it within the BIOS settings, in my experience.
