I just ordered a Super Twinstar with Supergrafx adapter. Does this take mgd2 format games? Also, the Super Twinstar main unit isn't going to have a memory pack included. Anyone know what kind it uses? Info on this unit is scarce other than some old archived text files and pictures.
Thanks

Without the memory I don't think u can do much with it...
Here's a picture of the main unit with the memory package (left of the Actraiser cart). You plug it directly to the main unit to transfer the games then you put it in the corresponding adapter, a bit like the SRAM interface of the MGD2.
I guess it also needs a different board to dump cartridges.
As for the format nothing certain but it's probably similar to MGD format and should need an index file...just a guess!

| Thanks for the reply! I wish I had all that pictured. Is that your own personal collection? I bought the Twinstar from Tomy's friend's website, but they only had the main unit and supergrafx adapter

Nope it's from the same guy who got the 2 FX-64 + CD-ROMs...the day I'll check out his full collection, I won't forget my camera!
The Supertwin is a collector item, as for the MGD2 it's not the best unit to play with on SNES or MD.
The low price on gamedoctorhk was probably bcoz of the incomplete setup.
You can only cross your fingers for that memory pack to pop up on his site.

SuperTwin is MGD2 clone with LCD. I think.
I have main unit, 8mbit sram pack, SFC I/O, MD I/O.
You can use MGD2 disk.
I am looking for PCE I/O. GB/GG I/O available?

| IIRC, the SuperTwin had a high failure rate. I'm fairly certain there was also a PCE adapter, but don't recall if there were GB/GG adapters. Either way, there's absolutely no point in tracking it down except for collecting purposes.
