| Which is better? What are the differences? Obviously memory can be used for both, I'm thinking I'm going to buy a 48 MB version and just avoid Star Ocean. Can anyone shed light on the differences? |

The only difference I have heard of (but don't know if it's true) is that the GDSF7 handles copy protections in some later games automatically where as the GDSF6 they say doesn't. But I've never owned a GDSF6 to tell you if that is true. I did own a GDSF3 and it was just a simple matter of patching the roms with ucon64 using the -k option to get around the protection.
So really the GDSF6 is fully capable of everything the SF7 is except for some minor details like perhaps that protection, using the rare CDROM that has a version only for the SF7, and that's about it. So if you are wanting to save a little money you don't have to worry about any huge disadvantages. |

I've got a GD6 and it has interferences with my US Super Nintendo with No. 1 mainboard. But it works without any problems with JP Super Famicom Mainboard No. 1 and European Super Nintendo Mainboard No. 1. I am using an European No. 2 Super Nintendo and it works. Only not on my loving US Super Nintendo. _________________ The Mad Gears must pay! |

| 99% sure it does not. However, the earlier Bung CD-ROM (with the old school CD caddy) will work on the 3, 6 and 7. There is probably a thread or two on here about it, if memory serves. |
