Hi, just wanted to hear if anyone know if the super magicom automatically have a black screen when the sfc is turned on or that it needs to be connected to something to boot up with a menu?

| Be sure to use the right power supply and clean the cartridge connectors properly. My Double Pro Fighter would only work sometimes when plugged in just right. After cleaning the connectors it works every time. |

| You need to insert a cartridge unless your internal CIC has been disabled. |

So, the smc i bought from a guy on this forum is broken, and the battery has of course leaked. Now i wonder if anyone can see if there is some traces i can re-route to get it working again.

You should check this thread:

I had a Supercom (which is the same board as the SMC) with a leaked battery. Mostly the ground line seems to be concerned on yours so it shouldn't be a big matter to bridge over the zone affected. |

| Yes but not without a cart. As you can see on mine, on the 1st pic there's an empty spot next to the cart slot for an IC where the CIC is supposed to be. If yours is like mine, you'll need a cart to boot up. |
