| I need to find a passthrough boot cartridge to make my V64 work, but I was told that I could make one by way of a cartridge modification. Is there a tutorial on how to do this anywhere? |

| Someone here should know. I'm guessing this is just related to the CIC, in which case I would guess if no one comes up with information, if you were to remove the Mask ROM from a cartridge it might work. Not sure about how you would save the game though. |

| You can probably look at the cart pinout and kill the voltage to the ROM. |

Removing the mask rom works just fine. I have a few donor carts (of a few different save/CIC types) that I use for my V64. All save functionality works fine |
