Need Help Fried my MGD2!!

Well I got my old MGD2 out after not using it for about 10 years. I used to plug in my Megadrive power adapter into it and it worked fine like that for 5 years.

When I got the old MGD2 out I carelessly plugged in a Nintendo power adapter in. VERY BAD! The unit somewhat kind of powers on but then off I can ocassionally after 20 times get it to load a disk.

Does anyone know how i can fix this? I'm pretty good with solder. I used to install modchips in PS1's if someone can tell me what to do i know i can fix this.

Well I pulled it apart today and one of the chips on the power supply plug is totally exploded. I pulled the ribbon connector off the power supply boad and looked at the motherboard and it seems ok.

Is there any way to directly power the motherboard from the ribbon?

The wires on the ribbon are brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue.
