| Hey there. Some CD64's have had overheating problems. I've had mine since 2000, the guy that gave it to me, had it since '97. It was not modded with a fan and has worked perfectly fine since then. It could possibly due to the type of AC adapter I use (A sega Genesis adapter).Understandably you would like to keep it in good shape, and in case you're looking for a fan mod: http://dextrose.com/index.php?s=3&m=8&f=1257#f1257 Dextrose.com is a great source of N64 backup information + good (kinda dead) forums. With the DS1, you just have to insert it into the CD64 and it auto saves the SRAM, when you're using a new game, just use the DS1 memory manager to back the old save to the one of six slots available. |
