Hi,
I purchased a Doctor V64 a few weeks ago, but have not purchased any RAM cards yet. Should I still get a menu on the TV screen without having any RAM installed? The only reason I ask is there's no point in me buying the ram cards if the V64's video or similar is broken. I've already replaced the faulty standard (yuck) cd-rom drive.

Yes, with no ram card installed I still get the BUNG menu, green screen, rom version #, etc. Just tested it for you.
all the original cds were crap. but I've also seen a few of these with some minor corrosion on the video connectors, and/or broken solder joints to the board from the composite connectors |
