Hello,

I´m new here and sorry for my bad english.

Can anyone tell me how to solder a PAL CIC chip in the GDSF7 ? I have opened the GDSF7, but nothing found what looks like a NTSC CIC chip, no socket for the CIC chip. If you can send or post pictures/instructions then do it please.

Where I can find the JUMPER S3 ?

THANX!

It may make more sense for you to just disable or make a switch to disable your SNES console's lockout chip. It's probably a better idea than modifying the GDSF7.

I've never tried to change the CIC in a GDSF7 myself so I can't really give you any help with that.

Thanx MottZilla!

Yes, you are right. I will make a switch to disable the lockout chip. I asked, because in the description of the GDSF7 I read this text "If you use it on Pal SNES, you need to put Pal CIC chip inside the copier."

And my second question. Where is the JUMPER S3 on the GDSF7 mainboard. "To change from SF7 to Professor (and back again) toggle jumper 3 (S3) on the mainboard."
I have nothing found. I want change to english language.

Doing that would require soldering or desoldering possibly. You could damage your GDSF7 doing that if you aren't skilled at soldering. Also you don't need to change the language that way, you can do it in a menu and it will remember it until you unplug it. And even if you don't change the language (I never do) only a few pointless messages are in Chinese. So there is no reason in doing that either.
