I hope it is simple to explain for both the ufo super drive pro 6 and the super wild card. I'm just wondering how it is done?
I play a snes rom on the device - lets say zelda - and i save my progress at a point in the game. Is this saved in the RAM on the device, or is it saved on the disk?
Also the option to save sram data doesn't make sense in the main menus. You have the device running in the game but to get back to main menu you have to turn the console off - which then erases ram and the sram data - doesnt it?
I'm confused. I'd just like to know the procedure to both save my sram files, and my "real time save" data, to disk. |

In the Copier there is SRAM on a memory chip. This chip receives power when the Copier is plugged in to the power adapter. Just because the console is switched off doesn't mean the Copier is no longer getting power.
So when you save in something like Zelda 3, it's just in the Copier's memory chip. This is not suitable for long time storage and if you play a different game it could be wiped out. So after you save in the game, power off the console and back on. Go to the menu option to write the save data to the disk.
Pretty simple. |
