Hey, so this is my first take on the mgd2

power cord is connected to the sfc interface, and then the cable from the interface to the main unit, it all lights up. when i get the matrix display up, i see some letters, and whateveri choose, doesn't do much, i have the sfc software also, but doesn't seem that it will load anything from the disk drive at this moment.. so how's the setps here? Smile

Do you have a MULTI-GD file on the disk? Are the games in the right format and naming convention? You'll want to press the button until "GM" shows up on the display, then use +/- to select which game to load.

yep, but the diskette drive never lights up, in other words, it doesn't really search the diskette for anything

Floppy drive is probably dead. There's a thread somewhere on here about how to hookup a standard FDD to the MGD2.

Files correct on disk? Index File and the ROMs in MGD2 Format and you got an E 4 Massage on the DOT-Screen? Then probably your disk drive is broken which happens very (!) often to the MGD2.

Alternate... well you could load the Games with the DRAM PC-Link Cable via MS-DOS with the PC Link Software Program.
