I got my hands on a Hyperkin SNES handheld prototype for a few hours today. After a few tests I had to open the device.
I haven't spent much time on it but the good news is the Sony RGB encoder CXA1645M on the right of the LCD.
Considering the provided mono AV output is not satisfying, it's good to know we have an easy option to add a RGB output, too bad it's not a standard feature.
Overall the device is nice, although a bit cheaply made and could benefit some improvements. I'm sure a lot of reviews will pop up everywhere once the device is released but I'm mostly curious to see the first mods
