|

I found a US Sega Genesis manufactured in 1996 board MD2 VA4 that does not work with the MD-PRO 64mb flash cart from tototek.
The game menu loads up and shows the games on the cart but when selecting a game and hitting start it doesnt run it, it just returns back to the menu. No combination of games work. Has anyone tested the MD-PRO cart with this revision of the Sega Genesis II ?
I have a VA1 genesis 2 and that works fine.
Here is a pic of the board inside the non working one:

I need to hear more on others experiences about compatibility etc... |

That is the Model 2 Genesis that was sold by Majesco for a short while (Before the Genesis 3).
I cant think of anything off the top of my head.
But my Flashcard works with my Genesis 1 my Genesis 2 (VA1 I think) and my Genesis 3 (also a VA1 I believe). |

So anyone can suggest what I can do to get the flash cart working on it ?
I've noticed the sound is much better than the other genesis 2 I have.
Better as it has clean output. The sound output from the regular genesis 2 that I have sound like low sample rate, that sandy noise.. The newer gensis sounds clean with nice bass and generally better. (odd)
Same like the CDX. Good clean sound. (refering to cart games) |

I would suggest cleaning the contacts. There's really no good reason it will work in one model and not the other...other than that it may need a cleaning.
