I know there are various diagrams around for making SNES to Parallel Port adapters. My question is, can I make one with using the actual two front ports from a broken console? Could it be done without having to break anything, even using the original ribbon cable?
I don't mind a bit of soldering or trace/track cutting, but I'm just wondering if it can be done AS IS? If not I can cut it all apart and do it the old fashioned way. The only reason I ask, is because I would like to keep the original look and add it into a 5.25" slot. |

I used the port from a broken SNES to do this. I didnt use the SNES PCB, just desoldered the actual plug and used that. I put everything in a small project box. SNES port on one side, parallel port on the other. |
