When I first got the unit, the drive booted up but the floppy drive didn't work.
So I replaced the floppy drive since it seemed like the logical issue. Now I get a Read Err when reading the disks. HOWEVER, I am able to format disks on the unit even if they can't be read on my computer. Also, through some randomness, I was able to get a game to load and work perfectly. Just once tho. I'm leading to believe it might be formatting the disks in Windows 7 (64bit) that might be causing the problem. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks in advance Smile

Test this first.

Take a Floppy in good condition (new if possible) and format it in the UFO copier. Then take a SNES cartridge and back it up onto the Floppy(s) and attempt to reload the game after turning off and removing the cartridge. If it all works you've eliminated the problem being with the copier.

Are you using a USB floppy drive on your PC? These are known to cause problems. If that doesn't help, try using an older PC running Windows XP or older with an internal floppy drive.

Ok, here's what I did:
Got Super Metroid. Loaded it up on the DRAM. Took the cart out. Played the game on the DRAM to make sure it works. It does. Very well. Formatted enough disks for it via the copier. Attempted to write the DRAM to the Cart, gave me a read error.

Along with my PC issues with this internal floppy drive not working right and this issue makes me think the drive is wonky. I even went back to Frys and replaced the drive, same issues.

I think its a bad drive..::sigh:: It's hard to find a cheap one lol.

Well if the Copier can't write and read its own disks then the drive is at fault or possibly the Copier hardware but definitely try to replace the drive first.
