|
|
| I remember recently seeing a SWC DX2 with compact flash reader installed where there would normally be a floppy drive. Anyone have a tutorial somewhere on how to do this? |

IIRC Jagasian came up with this mod way back in the Cherry Rom Days. Look up Jagasian DX2 compact flash mod in google. Here is a link to get started. I also thought you (RGBGAMER) had some mods done to your DX2 too

| I once modded a disk dual with a CF reader, but I have no disk dual, and having a CF reader in place of the SWC DX2's floppy drive sounds more appealing. Thanks for the tip (I was expecting madman to tell me how much of an idiot he thinks I am for not knowing this mod)! |

I would be surprised if it's any different from the mod you did previously.
I don't know what yours looked like but this one seems to be just packing up / rewiring internally a disk dual inside the case of the DX2 and taking out the FDD. |

| Yea it would be nice if some sort of tutorial or diagram was available. I never found anything like that from a google search or even diving into any of the old cherryroms discussions. I think a Datatank may have been used with that mod, but those are near impossible to find. |

Really I don't see why you would need a diagram for something that simple.
I just googled diskdual and found that thread:

All you need is rewiring the DB25 pins internally. Even the FDD power connector fits in the CF adapter. |

Madman, this you your chance to rip on me!
I googled several different subjects including diskdual, yet I didn't come across that thread you found. I thank you. |
