SWC DX2 and 2gb Jaz - anyone got this working and how?

Has anyone gotten 2gb Jaz Drives to work with a SWC DX2? I know the following is necessary:

2gb Jaz Drive
Jaz Traveller
parallel port cable


I have all of this and while the SWC DX2 recognizes the drive, it doesn't properly run anything off of the disk.

any ideas?
